After filing an application, amendments of the patent application is allowed, but may not go beyond the scope of original disclosure in the initial description and claims.
For patent applications for invention, the applicant may amend its application on its own initiative when filing a request for substantive examination, or within three months from the date of receipt of the notification from the State Intellectual Property Office informing the application entering the substantive examination procedure. For applications of utility model and design, applicants may amend the applications on their own initiative within two months from the filing date. |
